Liberty Military Housing - Dahlgren

I’ve had a great experience with Liberty Military Housing! The leasing process was smooth, and communication was clear. The leasing staff was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Liberty to other military families looking for a reliable and well-managed place to live! :)

The houses are outdated but very convenient if you work on post/base. It very quiet and peaceful. Very difficult to get things delivered on base with different people providing you different information. Roaches were a major issue for me. The townhouses weren't very clean when I moved in. It was if someone said let's cleand the refrigerator and stove and say that the home was clean. When I moved out I was told that if I left the keys and everything was good I would receive my deposit back in 4 weeks. I sent several emails and finally I received a response after my check was mailed 9 weeks later. Maintenance and lawn care were very responsive. I don't like once you leave and start asking about your money they are like we don't handle your account any longer.

We have been at Dahlgren Liberty for several years, and their response to trouble calls is excellent. Paul is very quick to respond, always professional and friendly, leaves the work area clean, and never fails to ensure the job is complete. Thank you Paul!

The worst housing in the military! Carpet was messed up before we moved in. Then they charged us for replacement when moving out. They never gave us notice until collection calls us saying we owe them money. Not once did housing get a hold of us and let us know before sending it to collections. They are just out to get as much money out of sailors as they can and don’t care about families. Also houses are small for the money.

If you like overpriced out dated homes, then this is the place for you. I've lived here for 3 years. The only reason we stayed was that my son loves Dahlgren School, and my wife works on base. We endured years of HVAC issues, moldy vents, leaking bathtubs, and burst pipes. It has taken me longer than expected to make plans for my upcoming retirement, and I was hoping that Liberty would work with me. However, that was not the case. They are increasing my last months' rent by over $700. I would not recommend anyone live here. Update: The comment below from Sarah E is completely false. I am absolutely being charged full BAH on my last month. There is no mistake. I called the office to confirm. Please make the correction to your comment.
