Absolutely NEVER rent from Kirby Kean. He will spend your entire lease refusing to fix any maintenance requests, and then turn around and charge you for the "repairs" when you move out. He does nothing legally. And don't forget to look your address up with L&I if you already rent from this monster, as he tends not to purchase rental licenses for his properties, so he likely has no legal grounds to be collecting rent from you. Wish I could rate lower than 1, because this is a 0-star company.

With a recent change in the management structure, Leroy Keane Corp has been able to put the tenant’s interest back in the spotlight. We've had an issue where our winter heating was disrupted while we were on vacation, Our manager Tara was prompt in following up with the maintenance personal during non office hours to get our heating restored. Property managers who balance the interests of landlords and tenants are a rare breed and I recognise this shift in status quo. Keep it up.

If you’re interested in an poorly kept unit with rude property managers, Kean Real Estate is for you! As soon as we moved into the unit, we regretted our decision. We moved into an apartment with broken appliances, holes in the wall, and a cockroach infestation, so it was very clear that they did not do any cleaning or repairs from the previous tenants move-out. During my time in the unit, we’ve dealt with mice infestations, bug problems, broken laundry services, and countless other issues from the old age of the unit. Kean only takes “band-aid” approaches to any problems, never opting to put effort or funds toward actually fixing the problems with the unit. Additionally, the staff is rude and impossible to reach. They purposefully do not provide you with their contact information, making

WORST receptionist ever. So rude, and completely worthless. Lived there for a year without getting a leak in the bathroom ceiling repaired, had to replace the knob on the door ourselves after no one came to fix it, also were supposed to have central air and didn't have that until 2 weeks before moving out - how convenient! Also, if you live on the bottom floor in the Catherine St. apartment building, be prepared to know everything about your upstairs neighbors. You can literally hear every single word they say. Now that we've moved out, the saga continues. We provided our forwarding address and intent to move within the correct time frame as mentioned in the lease, but Shirley - (worthless receptionist) never informed anyone of this. Terrible property management company. The son running the company has no interpersonal skills and has been living off the hard work his father has done. I’d stay far far away from the subpar properties this company manages because you will get even less than subpar service for even the most basic property management tasks. I’m not alone in this feeling as it is shared by most of the others I’ve spoken to in the building. One would assume that the property locations would accompany a certain standard of aesthetics BUT NOT with Kean Managment!!!!
