Lennar at The National Golf and Country Club at Ave Maria

This was my first time golfing at The National and boy, did it not disappoint. What a stunning brand new course. I went by myself and had an incredible time. The course and community are brand new and still being built out, but it was stunning what they have done in such a sort period of time. Don't wait, book a teetime and enjoy this wonderful new course. Job well done The National at Ave Maria!

Golf course is only highlight of The National at Ava Maria, course is top notch and employee’s related to the golf course!!!!! The issue is LENNAR, DO NOT BUY here!!! Construction is poor at best, time frame of construction is terrible, warranty process is a joke, amenities aren’t even in the ballpark of being finished after numerous timeframe changes but dues are still due!!!!! Buildings flood with heavy rain, “everything” included in builds all depends on how much you complain, landscaping is cheap. From sales on site, Fort Myers Office and headquarters in Miami all they care about is closing and collecting dues. If this is your full time residence or retirement home,DON’T DO IT

This is a review of the golf course only... Just golfed The National two weeks ago. Staff was very friendly. Driving range was in excellent condition. You aim at hitting islands in the water. Chipping and putting range in excellent condition as well. For a course being only 2 years old, we were impressed with its condition. Very nice and hope to be back soon!

Most of the comments here are pretty accurate but not as harsh as some make it out to be. It is a very active construction site throughout all 18 holes. Clubhouse has moved into the trailer now but still doesn’t have a liquor license (as of April 9). Course was in very good condition and the greens were fast but hard to hold a shot. Difficult to find if you haven’t been there before because maps don’t show correct location. Cart staff, pro shop and starter were very nice and accommodating when we arrived. Played our round in 4 and a half hours on a Friday afternoon. Overall a good experience and you can tell this will be a gem as time passes. Would definitely return and play again. For $60, it’s worth every penny.

Loved the course layout, was very new February 21, but conditions were great. I posted 25+ photos so you can get a glimpse. We just want to golf and the golf design and fairways and greens were better than expected for a brand new course. Well done !
