This has been the only awful experience about buying our first home. Our title officer has been incredibly unresponsive and really dropped the ball. We are due to close tomorrow (according to lender and contract) however up to this point it has been like pulling teeth to get any response from title about our closing appointment and after speaking with the receptionist today we were informed we are not on the schedule and asked “who told you that you are closing?” This contract has been in their office since mid January, twice as long as the 30 day standard and title has had ample time to prepare yet we still don’t even know what our final cash to close amount is meant to be. I am a prior title insurance employee and I have to say I am disgusted with the excuses, lack of customer service an
