Landau Management

I have been in this prewar building for 20+ years and have been through 4 pretty horrendous Landlords but landau real estate is the absolute worst. They are allowing this beautiful building in Forest Hills to crumble and charge tenants for the privilege of watching it disintegrate via MCI increases without doing the work. Do not ever rent from these people. Fair play means nothing to the Landau's of Brooklyn.

FINALY my contract expired with this company. Lived in building in Brooklyn for a year. When ever I needed the management (roof leaking, front door lock broken, windows lock broken, stove oven broken, elevators always going out of service, mail box area extremely dirty, stolen mail, roach infestation, among other things,) it was almost impossible to get someone to take a look at it. Super of the building would come and say “this is nothing! Ok I will do it!” And nothing would be done. When trying to contact the office, I was put on hold for long periods of time with no answer in sight. Thankfully I am out of there now and do not recommend their building to anyone. Especially if you have kids don’t rent here.

they pushed me to move in ASAP terms,, charging additional payments. but after I moved in, I found out that the apartment was dirty after previous tenants, broken cabinets, no appliances, broken windows, holes in the floor, leaking water in the bathroom and broken lock. Also I was told that the laundry machines are brand new, but the smell of gas from drying machines and old washing machines was felt even in elevator.

Building is dirty--- basement full of furniture,refrigerator's,stoves,dirt,cemented florrng braking up- with dust particles clumped up, many people personal items kept in basement areas and garbage like beds and sofa bed frames metal objects' I mean it's a fire hazard and no way to leave basement unless you use elevator, NO door to leave incase of fire or emergency/ oh! yeah did i mention garbage smelly too. super don't clean the building at all-front of the building looks like a waiting room of cigaretts and garbage all over, super family leaves in the building and nobody cleans or mops the building. it's just terrible.... did I mention bed bug issues...yes... got bitten a few times and had to throw out my bed and sofa...Can you imagine my state of mind.... going to office asap but had to

Landau Management are incompetent Landlords, they disrespect tenants at any cost to tenants who pay rent. I have been a tenant since 2009.
