Do not move here. I was excited to move into my apartment. The location and amenities marketed were great. That was until I learned that the open room was open during office hours. I was promised a 24 hour gym but that was open only during office hours. It took them 6 months to get residents a key fob to the gym. This was unfair as we still had to pay for it. Making amenities open 10am-6pm was unrealistic as most people are working during those hours. Then there's high utility bills in the winter. My AEP has been $500 in the winter for a 1 bedroom. My water pipe has broken two times causing a flood. The flood has ruined some of my clothing, shoes, and other items. They use industrial fans to dry the water up. However, that's not enough. Do Not Rent Here – Serious Maintenance and Privacy Violations This has been one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had. From the very first days, it became clear that this apartment is not properly maintained and should not be rented in its current condition. The heating system is severely defective—it runs nonstop, is extremely loud, and does not heat the unit efficiently at all. The apartment suffers from major air leaks through poorly installed windows, making the unit cold and uncomfortable. Before moving in, I read the previous reviews and noticed that many of them were old. I honestly thought to myself that maybe things had improved and the issues were fixed. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong. After moving in, I discovered that the situation is far worse than expected—almost catastrophic. I regret not taking the earlier reviews more seriously, and I hope others do not make the same mistake. Let me start by saying how grateful I am to the staff of this apartment complex. My wife and I have been through quite a few apartments at this point in our lives and have had more bad experiences than good, but our experience here at lakeside at the sanctuary has been nothing but pleasant! We moved back to Ohio from Colorado last year and they were beyond helpful with everything, from helping setting the lease up across state lines and having a nice clean and beautiful apartment ready for our arrival! They are very accepting of our pups, which we had a bunch of places turn my wife and I away just simply for breed restrictions, and have strategic poop clean up areas all around the area to help keep the area clean of all pet waste! Did a tour of lakeside and Marquis was amazing! He was prompt, very friendly and answered all of our questions! He showed us two places and let us take our time walking through them and never made us feel rushed! Great experience!
