Lake Weir Preserve

We moved in in early September. Adriana Rosas was super through the whole build process. We love the neighborhood and location. Very happy with the quality of our house. Any small issues have been corrected promptly. I recommend Adriana Rosas and Lake Weir Preserve.

We love Lake Weir Preserve! We built our home here in 2021 and have been enjoying the beautiful area for the last year. There were several factors in driving us to pursue living here, amongst them the nice RV style homes that had already been constructed in the neighborhood. Contrary to some of the comments of years ago, there are a number of homes that are “toy” people with collector cars, motorcycles and boats. We are RVers and chose to build a nice home with attached RV garage. I found the developer Neil to be super friendly and anxious to help us find the best location in the development for our home. Our brief visit to Lake Weir Preserve was very disappointing. The sales person's approach was brusque and unwelcoming.. Within the first three minutes she asked us several questions. Then her "pitch" provided us with three reasons why we should not consider living in the community: 1) If you liked it at __X___ then you won't like it here. We are completely different. 2) We don't get too many people here from Colorado. They typically want a location that is dryer. 3) The community is not an HOA, nor does it have any covenants. They depend on county codes to maintain property appearance. Note: If you would like to tour any of the homes call 2-3 days in advance so that the sales office can make arrangements with the homeowners. They do not have models open for viewing.

We were at Lake Weir Preserve at the same time as the previous negative reviewer & were surprised at his extremely negative attitude. His complaint about the roads is one of the things we like about the community & are part of the rural charm it has while very close to all the gated community type amenities without the gates & restrictions on how we can live. This laid back community is not for everyone, especially those who need pristine roads & rules & regulations to live by, but it is perfect for us & we look forward to starting our new home there very soon.

Lake Weir Preserve is a great neighborhood and everyone is very friendly. It’s a quiet and peaceful area, great for country living but only 15 minutes away from stores, restaurants and entertainment in The Villages or in Ocala. The best part is there is no homeowners association.
