They are attentive to details, unfailingly helpful and quick to help line up repair when needed. I have never once considered changing managers, and recommend them without reservation.

We worked with Wil Childress and Lake Retreat properties to sell our lake home in September, 2023. Wil was great to work with. He really knows the area and has many connections. Any work we needed to do to the house prior to sale, Wil arranged and it was done quickly and economically. The entire sale process was very smooth. We had an awesome experience renting a house from this company! Our original house cancelled due to COVID, but they found us another house for the same week that was dog friendly so we could bring our four-legged family member. Altogether a wonderful and relaxing week at Smith Mountain Lake!

Absolutely five stars! From the moment of booking, the entire process has been rewarding, easy, and communicative. The team of Lake retreat Rental are incredible, a quick response to all emails, calls and questions. For example, we did not know how to light the fireplace and they quickly sent someone to help us.AMAZING!!! The house is wonderful, the owner takes care of even the smallest detail, if you have a dog this is YOUR house, the house is fenced and with exclusive space for four legs. I have no doubt that I will rent this house again and with Lake Retreat Rental. Thank you so much for making my birthday magical."

My original rating was a three. Upon arrival at our SML rental this week we were disappointed in the cleanliness of our rental. Lake Retreat reached out to us asking what was wrong and understood our concerns. Never had any previous cleanliness issues in our 10 years of renting from them. We were pleased with how our situation was handled.
