Kotarides Property Management

I am not sure what school this company sends their management for customer service and sanitation. The management at Lakewood Plaza Apartments located on Tidewater Drive in Norfolk, VA is in dire need of training. The laundry room and hallways are a total mess. There is a foul smell throughout the building. There is trash in the laundry room and in the hallways. The customer service is in worse shape. When asked a simple question about items being stolen from residence, the reply is in the form of yelling and sarcastic.

Don’t move here save your money. Rent has gone up to $1,140 and the property is not renovated, has a pest problem, and maintenance department is an issue. Maintenance is overworked, underpaid and some of the men are too old and incompetent to do the job. This property is competing with brand new properties for the same price and they refuse to satisfy the tenants. I’ve had 5 issues with my washer and dryer and they refuse to replace it (or anything else for that matter) but raised the rent. These are examples of work fixed. Roaches just migrate from apartment to apartment regardless of cleanliness and spraying. Not worth the headache.

Terrible experience with the company's management returning calls. The property office just keep saying they will send a message to the manager, Terri. Have been trying to resolve a problem since November regarding charges that have not been explained.

I will never rent from this company again. I lived there for 1 year. The lease ended, I moved out. They call me 1 year after I moved out, demanding payment for carpet cleaning and the final water bill. I then ask why they did not tell me months before. I was told they did send a final bill, but were not able to send the bill by email. The forwarding address was not my address as well. They could've called, but of course did not. If you owe someone money, you wouldn't take 1 year to reach out and get paid, and then threaten to send them to collections. Very unprofessional on their part. Communication is the #1 problem for many people, and Kotarides Property Management is the exact same way. Their communication is worse than trash. BEWARE!

I applying for an apartment with Apollo Apartments and i was not sent the link so I called Apollo Apartments. Bernadette answered the phone and was very unprofessional and rude. She does not let you talk and is very short, combative . Before I could fully tell her the reason for my call she immediately begun to interrupt and talk over me and argumentative. Good help is heard to find. When you call corporate no one answers for you to speak with that can resolve the issue
