Keystone Custom Homes - Retreat at Sherwood Preserve

Too many issues with thier houses. It is overwhelming. Not worth the custom name brand. We have had electrical wiring problems, possible structural problems (Garage wall rattles when I close my door). The siding warpping and exterior trim falling off, front door stain fading all within 8 months of moving in our house.

Horrific customer service. New home advisor was late to our appointment, called and said he was running 5-10 minutes late. After 30 minutes we understood he was not showing up. I called to see if someone could help us and instead of being met with any sort of help, the woman who answered the phone (will not post name to avoid this review being removed) spoke over me, laughed at me and eventually hung up because I asked for solutions rather than excuses. Would never do business with this organization.

I would like to give ZERO starts, but then i cant post, so I am forced to give ONE. I own a home there and i can say that this experience has been a nightmare. They sell 1M + homes that have piss poor quality. Management has turned a blind eye to any requests/emails etc. I purchased a $178K townhome several years ago that had way better quality than what is being sold by Keystone, hardwood w/ paint splatters everywhere, paint that bleeds into cabinets, fixtures that are mismatched, visible wires coming out of hardwood floors, brand new doors w/ wood chips, dents, splinters everywhere. I could go on and on but i know it would fall on deaf ears.

I wish there was an option for a zero star because that is what Keystone is worth to me. All the houses in this community are botch, including mine. They hire the worse contractors and then you have to fight with them to make things right. And, these are supposed to be award winning homes!!! Did I mention, it has been almost 3 years and I’m still not in my home. Trust me, for every bad review that Keystone has, there are 10 more that haven’t been reported.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. Unkept promises, lack of communication and transparency. Find another builder because you will be disappointed. No one should have to endure this type of torment while building their “dream” home. The trades used in this area (MoCo) do a sloppy job and then you have to fight for them to fix it. Weeks and months go by waiting for things to be fixed. You have to be a subject matter expert to be able to quality check after everything. It’s a nightmare. I have been robbed of having a joyous experience during this process because this company does not make it easy. I signed my contract in April 2021 and I am writing this in October 2023. Still not in my new home and with an extensive list of need to fix/do. So, to say the least please know I
