Kestrel Ridge Apartments

I loved my apartment here! Darlene the property manager was easy to talk to and super helpful whenever I had questions or needed anything. The neighbors were overall very quiet. I didn't have any issues during my time here. The apartment was spacious, clean and a great price. I would recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a great, reasonably priced, quiet place to live.

I have been living at Kestrel Ridge for almost two years now. Move in was simple and my apartment had new carpet and flooring put in prior to move in. I have never had any issues with getting into contact with management for questions or maintenance requests, and any requests have always been taken care of quickly. They take care of the common areas well, such as recently it looks like we had the sidewalks and mailboxes mudjacked up to fix uneven/sinking concrete. Sometimes the recycling dumpster bins get overflowed by other occupants not breaking down boxes but that is out of managements control. I also often see mattresses, recliners, and other large items that you can't throw in dumpsters being placed there by occupants. Garbage trucks will not take these items, but they are always gon

RENTERS BEWARE!!!. When you move in and out they do not do any inspections so it opens you up for additional changes. We also moved out and already recovered our security deposit back and then received a notification that we owe for carpet cleaning. This is something the rental properties should cover as part of doing business. As for on site manager it is left up to the maintenance person and his helper. I brought up a parking issue and they blew it off saying it happens all the time. Under Wisconsin law and the department of Agriculture,Trade and Consumer Protection landlords can not charge for routine carpet cleaning even if it is part on the lease or not.

Be sure to get everything in writing. The apartment manager told me I could move out one month early (I was in no rush to leave) as they had someone looking to move in the next month. It was convenient for them and meant saving me money so I verbally agreed. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me the early renter backed out and I had to pay the months rent, but didn’t find this out until after the month had passed. Had I been informed the early renter wasn’t going to be moving in early I would have stayed the month as it was closer to my workplace. Just a reminder to get everything in writing!

My boyfriend and I found this apartment through Craigslist. I called the landlord on 2/26/13 to inquire about the 1 bedroom apartment. He said that he will have openings in May or June and advised that I come on 2/28/13 to view the apartment. I called him on 2/28/13 to confirm our appointment for 5pm, and he said it was still going to work out. After driving 45 minutes and leaving work early to come visit this apartment, he tells us that he doesn't have an apartment for us to view... And was asking about how much we make monthly, and discriminating against us saying we would need a cosigner and that we don't make enough money to live in a $600 apartment, when we currently live in an apartment with a monthly rent of $820... I was very aggravated when I left, because he just wasted my gas
