We rented an apartment in manhattan managed by this company. They don’t return security deposits. We had to take them to court to get our deposit back. Please do ask for the reason/itemized details for keeping the deposit.

Do not rent from this management company. Be prepared for huge rate increases at renewal and not being able to tell you when you will get your security deposit back after 30 days.

Did not return any deposit and it's been 1 month+ since move out. Also, they are trying to keep 50% of my deposit for moving out in the 2nd of the month instead of the 1st of the 30th/31st. Not that it matters because I've received 0 so far.

Didn't respond to emails for months when trying to move out. After finally getting in touch with someone to move out, they refused to give us back our security deposit despite being legally required to. Can't say I'd recommend

Appalling bad. They are your run-of-the-mill "we're happy to cash your checks, but don't bother us if you need anything" management company. Disgusting. They don't answer the phone, and they never respond to messages. If you have a problem--faulty plumbing, electrical problem, refrigerator on the blink, painting every 3 years, etc--you're on your own. It's shocking that they get away with this. You know they exist only because the money keeps being withdrawn from your checking account, but that's the only indication you have that they are a bona fide entity.
