Jo Ann Kennel - Northern Virginia Realtor

This review was long overdue. Jo Ann is the best realtor I've worked with! Why? Genuine, honest, accessible, flexible, knowledgeable ... Back in 2013, I was helping a family member sell a townhouse in Burke, VA. This wasn't a high sale, high commission deal, but it was the financial situation our family was in and we still wanted to find the best realtor for the job. I interviewed a dozen realtors, many were nice, had good suggestions for home improvements, but Jo Ann was a step above the rest. She was genuine and honest, treated me the same as I'm sure she would have someone selling a McMansion. She was knowledgeable about the location; schools, parks, VRE, new developments in the community ... beyond the pedestrian, "yes schools in Fairfax are amongst the best in the country, or the park

Jo Ann was recommended to us by cousins and friends. We used Jo Ann to sell our home back in 2014 and to buy our new home that same year. Jo Ann had our home sold in 4 days, and she was very patient with us as we looked all over Northern Virginia at houses. She knows her stuff. She also helped my mom sell her condo a few years ago as well. Highly recommend.

I was introduced to Jo Ann Kennel in 2004 as a referral from a friend of mine. In my lifetime, I bought 7 houses using 6 realtors. Two of those houses, I bought using Jo Ann's professional experience. She is by far, the most helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient realtor that I know. To date, I have referred about half a dozen friends to her and they all bought a house and say the same thing, "she is the best." She always goes out of her way to make it a great experience and help me find the house that is right for me. I intend to buy one more house in my lifetime and I hope that Jo Ann will be my realtor.

Working with Jo Ann was an absolute nightmare. She pressured us into signing, showed zero empathy when we faced personal tragedies, and the property had undisclosed issues like odors, filthy carpets, mold, and traffic noise. Instead of compassion, she pushed us to stay and made derogatory comments to the landlord. Even after leaving the home in better condition, she continued to cause problems. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Since then, we’ve bought two homes and thankfully have never encountered someone so unpleasant.

Jo Ann couldn’t have given me a better experience. She made my home buying process a breeze. She was well qualified to answer any question that came up throughout the process. Her knowledge and experience were incredible valuable and she is indeed an expert in her field. I have recommended her to all my friends and family. Jo Ann is simply the best.
