Looking for an apartment for my elderly parent who recently lost her spouse. Was told to text a number for info and I got nothing but RUDE RUDE customer service. Simply asked about animals, rental price, locations, etc and got nothing but nasty comments. Being in the real estate world I was warned of their reputation but figured I’d give it my own opinion. Do NOT contact this agency-if they’re this rude was just getting information to imagine what they like as a landlord.

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you’re a person of color, specifically Black, BEWARE of this management. They went out of their way to harrass me and make my life a living HELL for many years when I lived here from 2018 until I finally was able to escape in 2023. The management has directly yelled at me and been extremely disrespectful and rude on multiple occasions for issues they are required to handle. For almost 3 months I had no working refrigerator and had to call the Department of Health to force them to fix it. They didn’t give my deposit back and made up false reasons that the carpet was damaged—however the carpet was not new when I moved in, and showed no visible signs of damage. I truly believe these people run a racket in Branford because they had the judge in their pocket.

Seeing all of the negative reviews, I wanted to remain impartial and hoped for a better outcome. That was a mistake. There is a distinct pattern and it’s disgusting. This bad behavior clearly has never been questioned or checked and the power held by the business is being used as a front to intimidate and silence individuals. After my questions being ignored and tension in the conversation escalating, it became clear that this would not be suitable for future living. I asked to discontinue correspondence and was met with threats and harassment.

REAL REVIEW: When I tell you guys DO NOT RENT !! Please look at images below, from the Summit office very own Leasing agent who has contacted me past business hours to send me threats. I cannot make this up and I am truly disgusted, and what’s worse is when I called the main number to report the incident the director himself stated "I don’t see anything wrong.” To end our discussion I did not want an application or to continue and I repeated how unprofessional his employees were as well as himself. My advice to Summit please bring your best attorney because even God himself can see you guys will not win. Horrible unprofessional woman in the office. Had a previous tenant use my SSN on their lease application, it's on my credit report. They won't even give me the name of the tenant screening company they use so I can give that company my FTC report to get the fraudulent account off of my credit. She doesn't even try to understand the situation, puts you on hold 5 times in a minute and keeps exclaiming, "You're not a tenant, I can't give you ANY information!" Well, you could.... if you wanted to.... because this isn't sensitive information that deals with any of your current or former tenants. Won't even respond to Hunter Warfield, Inc, their debt collection company, to their requests of information to see if my dispute with them is legitimate.
