James River at Stony Point

I’m gonna start this off with a five star review. I’ve just moved in last Monday. Willie at the office was an amazing help to me. I was previously approved by another apartment and then denied five days before move-in and Willie helped me get into an apartment in five days with a weekend and a holiday. It was truly impressive. So far, so good at this apartment complex and I’m loving our new space with a pond view.

We’ve really enjoyed living at James River at Stony Point! It’s peaceful, modern, and feels like home — but there are a few quirks we hope the complex addresses. ✨ Maintenance: Truly amazing. They’re fast, kind, and thorough. Dennis is the best — sweet, responsive, and super helpful. They helped us immediately with an A/C issue (our fault), wasps on the porch, and even showed us where our router box was. Always friendly and professional. 🏝 Amenities: Resort-like. The saltwater pool feels like a vacation — in-water loungers, a sleek bar area, and always clean. The clubhouse has a coffee bar, printers, MacBooks, and secure package lockers (no missing deliveries!). We even got local coupons in our move-in folder — a thoughtful touch. 🏠 Apartment Quality: Our 2 bed/2 bath unit is beautiful,

Don't move here. The previous reviewer was absolutely correct in saying questionable tenants. The elevator has been broken for four days. Cars speed through the parking lot and blast loud music as if they're in a trailer park or the hood. The premises is dirtier than when I first moved here (i.e dog poop bags in grass, food wrapper on stairs, spills left for days, cobwebs everywhere, etc. The garbage area is overflowing. Someone broken glass in the pool so that was shut down for a week. The leasing office doesn't communicate with the residents when things happen, for example, last month the fire alarm went off and no one in the office notified us so we stood around the parking perplexed. I saw a mouse in the hallway not because it's the outdoors but because people leave their garbage cans

I’ve lived here for 2 years and love it! It’s a great community. I also love the miles of hiking trails, being able to walk around the mall and being minutes from Carytown. I love the entire staff. Nicole and Sandra are the best. Everyone is very responsive and the maintenance crew are always quick to resolve any issues.

We lived at this apartment complex for 4 years and it was a great experience. The area is quiet and they always keep the property looking nice. The pool and gym were fantastic! All the equipment was well-maintained. Had no issues with parking. Whenever we had a maintenance need they came out the same day and fixed it. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice apartment complex in Richmond!
