Jake at Indian Trail

This is to follow up my one star review as I can’t edit the other review. As I sit here, I decide to figure out how long before mold can grow under a surface such as a dishwasher and per all the reputable sources, within 24-48 hours. I have children living in my home who are possibly being exposed to mold as the dishwasher still has a puddle. They were able to come in and “wet vac/dry vac” underneath the sink and fix the sink leak. I am unable to dry my clothes and can’t run to the laundromat as it is Thanksgiving and my kids as well as myself also can’t shower/bathe because all Our towels are sopping wet from the flooded areas and we have a broken dryer. Beyond disappointed and really just want everyone to know what they are possibly getting themself into if they move here. I did decline

I previously wrote a 1 star review after I was denied for income purposes explaining that I was denied although per my calculations I was approved and per an accountants I should have been approved. The manager called me and apologized over and over and explained that I am in fact approved. I was desperate for a place to live so I reluctantly toured it. The manager was very professional and kind, she turned the experience around. Or so I thought. I decided to sign a lease because I had only a few days to move, it was a very rushed move. I moved everything my self and did it within a week. I recently had the opportunity to stop by the leasing office at Jake at Indian Trail. The office was clean and the staff extremely kind. I was really impressed with all the fun extras they offered like drinks and snacks. Lauren was very professional and helped show me around.

I highly encourage you to request, in writing, what SPECIFIC, itemized damages you will be required to pay for well before moving out. My husband and I were residents in a single family home for 8 months. We relocated for his work this summer and our lease ended in August. Being first time renters and prior to moving in we specifically asked the manager if we were allowed to hang anything on the walls. She replied “of course you can!” and completely neglected to share that a portion of our security deposit would be withheld to cover the cost of paint, labor charges (of their employees in excess of $33 an hour)and a severely inflated cleaning charge on an empty property upon moving out of $285.00.
