Robert Hower is known for killing deals with his low appraisals. A 'drive by' appraisal of my property was over $50,000 lower than an appraised value by another certified appraiser. He couldn't find comparables, but was able to confidently appraise my home by simply driving by. I can't imagine why financial institutions continue to contract his services.

Our lender NBKC was naive enough to use this guy to appraise a townhouse we’re currently trying to buy in State College, PA. He appraised it 3.8% below listing price in this market so I really don’t need to say much more about him or his ability to do his job. It was absolutely laughable and because of the 2008 crisis they’re stuck going with this guy’s opinion. I’m a veteran who’s been saving for 8 years for my first house and this guy is essentially screwing us over because he’s on a power trip. The entire system is broken by people who get a slip of paper and think they can act like god with others’ finances. Once again let me reiterate that this guy earnestly appraised a townhouse in State College, with five competing offers, that went same day, at 3.8% below listing price. Fannie Mae

I Would Not Recommend this company. Laura does not work with the buyer. Laura only want you to sign the paperwork without any references to proper dates or help the buyer in anyway. Laura will not help on any adjustments before settlement and closing. Laura has been very unprofessional agent by all means she is about capital gain and the Seller Agent capital gain. Laura is Not on the Buyer's Side PERIOD. And this rating should be -100%
