J Sol Apartments

I wish I could give a better rating but the heavy set black lady with the short hair that sits at the front desk is horribly rude. You would think customer service would be required for that position but she was nothing short of rude & ignorant. She made the experience so bad that my family and I would NEVER rent an apartment here. She didn’t have a name tag on but the interaction occurred on July 14th, 2025 around 8:45pm incase anyone in charge is able to look up who was working this evening.

I have lived at J Sol for now 2 years and it has been a great experience. The apartments are modern, comfortable, and have everything you need—like a nice rooftop pool, a gym, and places to relax or get work done. The location is super convenient, with the Metro, restaurants, and shops all just a short walk away. The staff and management are friendly and helpful ( S/o to Patrick) , and they really make it feel like home. A 5/5 experience!

I had a nice experience through the tour and leasing process. Patrick was quite responsive and helpful throughout. I’ve now been here 4 months and I remain pleased with my apartment, the building, amenities, the location, and all of the staff. It’s been a nice experience with Patrick and the full leasing team, our front desk crew is great (special shout-out to Roschida who is always smiling and quick to greet me each day) and great work by the crew who manage to keep the entire building fresh and looking top notch. I’m happy with my decision of J Sol.

I had a really disappointing experience here on August 8th around 12am (late night of August 7th). When I walked in, I was unfamiliar with the building and asked the concierge where the elevator was. Instead of responding politely, she looked at me with clear disgust and just pointed—no words, no courtesy. When I was leaving, she was still at the front desk talking to another woman. Despite her attitude, I still thanked her on my way out, and she didn’t even acknowledge me. No response, no eye contact—just continued her conversation like I didn’t exist. This level of customer service is unacceptable. She made me feel extremely unwelcome. A concierge should represent the building with professionalism and kindness—not coldness and rudeness. After a decent lease (key word: “decent”), our move-out experience at J Sol has been nothing short of infuriating. We returned our keys, scheduled a professional cleaning, and submitted our notice. But once it became clear we weren’t renewing, it felt like management stopped treating us like residents and started treating us like a problem to ignore. We received a final ledger with one amount but were charged something completely different in the payment app. We emailed—no response. We followed up—still nothing. It took over a week and multiple in-person visits just to get someone to acknowledge us.
