I’m a current resident and have lived here for six years. The community itself has a lot of positives — it’s quiet, the neighbors are nice, and there are great walking trails and a park nearby. There’s also a soccer field right behind the complex and a school next door, which is very convenient. The apartments themselves are good and comfortable to live in. However, that’s where the positives end. The real issue is with management and maintenance. When Bozzuto managed the property during my first year here, everything ran smoothly — quick responses, friendly staff, and efficient service. Since Jag Management took over, things have gone downhill. It can take days for someone to even come look at an issue, let alone fix it. If you have an emergency — like water leaking into your apartment —
Literally run the other way!! one star is not low enough I lived in this building for a couple years, and by the time we moved out, things had gone downhill fast. Trash regularly piled up, and a couple garages were broken and broken into. Getting our security deposit back was unbelievably difficult—we ultimately had to involve a lawyer just to get management to respond (wayyy past the 60 days that Virginia legally requires). The temps in the office have absolutely no clue what to do and constantly misplaced important documents such as my proof of renters insurance (which they attempted to charge me for multiple times), move out documents, forwarding addresses, copies of bills, etc. They straight up tried to tell me that the report stating what was deducted from my security deposit didn’t
With the big snow storm the weekend January 25th 2026 the new manager informed us they are not responsible to clear the parking lot and tenants have to clear spots. They proceeded to park in all the cleared spots tenants cleared over the weekend. The new manager is uneducated about the responsibilities to tenants under Fairfax law and she tried to telling us that they are not responsible to provide cleared spots for tenants. The fact that their head of maintenance parked in spots he saw us clear over the weekend is appalling.we have lived here 3 years and can’t wait to move when our lease is up. No amenities and no service for a small overpriced apartment.
Literally the worst apartment complex I have ever stayed at the dryer and drawers have been broken for three months now and no one has been here to fix it when I go to the office I get the runaround of "we changed management and things are different now" Which I understand, but it doesn't take three months. they have the audacity to call me to ask me if I'm renewing, but not to answer my question of one of these problems gonna be fixed save your money and your energy and look for somewhere else to stay
Don’t do it. My experience with the real estate firm Jefferson Apartment Group, who now manages J Harbor Park, has been utterly disappointing I’ve been living here for five years and when JAG came two years ago, everything changed for the worse. If I needed any maintenance I was met with resistance on all fronts, resulting in multiple month long delays in repairing major appliances, ridiculously long waiting times for simple items, and the flooding of my whole apartment which could’ve been prevented if they had just investigated the multiple reports of seepage my neighbors and I made the week before. Each request I’ve made has required I physically go to the office a minimum of four times to see any movement on the issue. They don’t answer the phone, they don’t respond to emails, and they
