We recently moved from Florida to our new home in River Highlands sub Division, Suffolk VA to be closer to our daughter and grandchildren. We made arrangements to have our home built on a cul de sac with the lovely Nansemond River butting up to our back yard. At the same time, we made preparations to sell our home in Florida. I engaged a realtor w/ Iron Valley Norfolk to schedule several showings resulting in a sale contract. My agent Jake referred me to a Home Inspection comoany citing they were " great" .Upon day the home inspection was accomplished I realized the Inspector was not knowledgeable on many asoects of the inspection that i had questions about. After listening to & viewing the report, then hired a Class A contractor to advise me of numerous iquestionable tems & learned much more derogatory information. The property had quite a few issues not in the report including structural and subsequently cancelled the sale contract. The realestate agent was advised of same by my contractor.
