BUYER BEWARE! Allegedly the property manager that worked here for many years that retired about two years ago did a lot of the renovations in the co-op without any building permits! Do not listen to the office if you question this any alterations or renovations before a sale, please go to the town hall and look for the building permits for yourself! The office is going around and fixing a lot of the dryer vents that were not properly installed, and they are CHARGING SHAREHOLDERS that did not put the dryers in themselves! They were installed before they were sold. It is public record you can check to see the the previous property manager allegedly had his own electric construction company incorporated and that corporation was dissolved a few years ago.

Did you just google Interlaken Cooperative? Are you thinking about purchasing shares into this co-op? Please read this because I wish someone gave an honest review of the cooperative before I bought shares here. If I had to describe the management office two words come to me. Incompetent and negligent. Do yourself a favor and before you purchase shares for an apartment go to the Town of Eastchester Building Department and look at all the permits issued for the unit you are interested in. In years past the management office approved of and allowed all types of alterations in the apartments without filing for the proper building, electrical, and plumbing permits. This is an excellent community to live in, emphasis on community. This co-op really feels like a community. The sprawling grounds and beach for co-op residence means that you see your neighbors regularly cooking at their grill or sunning at the beach. Great location close to all major highways and plenty of shopping nearby.

I think the lake is beautiful only it is not maintained. Water is dirty, goose droppings everywhere on grass, in sand and in water. They need to clean up and keep this area prestine.

It's just like living in a trailer park in eastchester. imagine people cramming in 3 or 4 kids into a small 2 bedroom apartment to take advantage of the schools in town. they just screw over all the other taxpayers in town.
