Houston Lake Apartments

I first want to start off by saying..no don’t do it! We moved in thinking it was a gated community..we were never told the gate was broken and never works (4 months later). All kids of rift raft coming and going and speeding. Our daughter was almost hit!! Trash/dumpsite doesn’t work, so several dumpster locations now freely floating around, with trash over flowing and all over the ground and do t forget dead rats!! Pool always had hair floating around, large parties and people left all of their trash and alcohol, cigarettes etc..it was supposed to be cleaned on Mondays but you could never smell the chemicals (you know that clean chlorine smell). People smoke weed (even kids yep you read that right) all the time and out in the open. You can even watch drugs being sold if you sit on your bal

So I have been staying at HLA for 9 months now and overall have enjoyed my time here! Personally the only downside is that it's a bit expensive, but that seems to be all rentals nowadays. Anyway, the community is mostly quiet and peaceful, I haven't had any issues with neighbors, or problems with other residents which is wonderful! The gym and pool are nice to have, I like to go to the gym during late night to work out sometimes. Also the Client Manager Selina is very kind and helpful, I am glad to have management that is understanding and cooperative! Overall I would say if you can afford it, this is a great apartment to have in the Warner Robins area. Hope for another good 9 months here, Wesley

We lived there for just under two years. They claim to be smoke free but the pool area was constantly occupied by people smoking drinking and playing loud vulgar music. We were forced to pick up pool bands to keep people from using the pool that shouldn’t. This did not help the pool space. Upon moving out the bands got packed away and I couldn’t find them. The charge was $35 each for 7bands!! On top of that, there was mold issues that resulted in my children being sick for months. The apartment always smelt stale and musty. I even had an expensive air purifier running and that hardly helped. Their marketing as a smoke free and good home environment is false advertising as they do nothing to enforce the rule. I love my spacious 1 bedroom home and now my 2 bedroom. I moved within the same apartment community because the square feet of some of the other apartments were a bit smaller. My maintenance requests have always been answered expeditiously and that is important to me having to rely on someone else to fix something. Does the gate work perfectly all the time?…No but I much rather have little minor issues like that than issues inside of my unit. I love the area and I’m glad that I have chose these units not once but twice. Selina definitely seals the deal. initially this was the only place I toured. After the process, I was sure it was the place for me.

From the first moment the statf was very kind and patient to answer all my questions, the neighborhood is beautiful, the maintenance personnel is very diligent, the common areas are constantly being renovated, the area has excellent schools, you can have laundry in the apartment with a small washer and dryer leasing fee, the apartments are spacious and with a beautiful and relaxing view without a doubt a good place to live.
