Hospitality House

I been here 11 years now. Good food, never a dull moment. A place you can find rest and peace. I wouldn't want to live in public housing. The staff is trying really hard to keep it safe and secure during the evening. You can shower and do your laundry. We just follow the rules and regulations like every where else. I'm earning my college degree here and I get to study at night while the tenants are sleeping. The food here is excellent and nutritional. Ray Jenkins and Alberta farcus take time to know each tenant. We would be on the street if it wasn't for people like them. Everyone deserves a second chance from falling from grace. We have Bible studies on Saturday evening. A chance to turn our lives around and we're trying to become productive citizens inspite of our criminal records.

I'm currently a tenant here and because I followed my right as a tenant of being allowed to hold rent due to poor conditions they gave me an eviction notice. I got here in February of this year and was bitten by bed bugs over a million times. One bite got so bad that it got infected. I ended up with a private room that had bed bugs I had to fix that problem myself. Now I have a problem with roaches and mice. I caught my 7th mouse tonight on a sticky trap and I'd be darned that after a few minutes of throwing it in the garbage I ended up seeing another run around my room. This place needs to be shut down. I just can't win. There's no way this place should be a boarding house but should be called Farkas mental institution with all them mercy behavioral health tenants here and there's a b

Most rooms seem to have some sort of bug problem. The exceptions tend to be ones where tenants take responsibility for keeping them bug free instead of relying on management. Ray's heart is in the right place and he's a good guy, but after being here a year and a half it's obvious that the owners often tie his hands. Depending on your circumstances the following is either a good point or a bad point: the owners will let basically anyone whose rent check clears move in and stay regardless of just about any other potentially negative factor.

I visit there sometimes. Absolutely disgusting. Completely infested with bedbugs and owner obviously only cares about money. Halls wreak of urine and its filthy.

No clue why their address is on Fifth Ave. They are definitely not on Fifth Ave. They are actually on Belliew and May Ave off of 4th Ave. Not even near 5th
