Horst Custom Homes

Horst Custom Homes was great to work with for the construction of my (30ft x 40ft x 12ft) pole barn. Every member of their team was friendly and polite. As with any construction project, there were some hiccups along the way, but their team was quick to communicate and address issues and get the job completed! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build new and add to their home!

We selected Horst Custom Homes for our new home. We began the process with Jacob and worked with Javin throughout the construction. We couldn't be more pleased with the crews working on the house. They were professional, polite and the quality of their workmanship was excellent. We are extremely happy with the final outcome however there were several issues along the way. The process began with a very vague contract and a more or less "gentleman's handshake" agreement. In hindsight we should have demanded a very detailed contract because there were several items that were discussed and agreed upon initially that became problematic during construction when Javin indicated that they were not in the contract even though they were initially agreed upon verbally. My wife and I started our home building process with Jacob, who walked us through each step and helped us with any questions or concerns that we had in the initial phases. During the building phase we worked with Javin and his crew. He communicated daily and also doubled checked with us before completing any work to ensure that what was being done was what we wanted. The team at Horst has also continued to answer our question post build and have been back to help troubleshoot a few small issues that came after we had moved in. Horst custom homes did a great job on my roof. They tore off the old and replaced everything with new. They did a great job cleaning up a while under construction. I didn't have to clean up anything after they were complete. I would recommend Horst custom homes.

These guys built me a custom 36x50 pole barn with 16 foot walls and a rear leanto porch in the middle of winter last year. They built it quickly and with really good quality. Johnny and Javin both communicated with me throughout the process. I’ve had some bad experiences with other contractors in the past, but not with these guys. They were honest and professional and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to build a barn or garage.
