On March 12, 2022 we put in a 185K offer on a property in Mitchell Heights. The owners countered 200K although it was originally advertised as $239,900 even after a 10K reduction. We left it at that. A few weeks later (on March 31st to be exact) I messaged our realtor that the Mitchell Heights property was still not sold. Our realtor asked if we'd like to make another offer to which we did up the offer to 190K. We were told the owners would accept our 190K if we are interested. (I have the messages.) We were told that it appeared we made the better offer. We ran back down and looked the property over and first thing Friday morning (April 1st) we notified our realtor that we wanted the property.
