Hillsborough Apartments

Apartment was good when we moved in 4 years ago, both price and location. Location is riddled with gunshots, break ins and CARS GETTING STOLEN like ours was. 3 other cars were stolen from the complex. We were called delusional for thinking that shouldn’t happen and that we should’ve been safe. Too close to the crap border of Missouri. Gun shots every night and break ins of cars and homes. KBI KANSAS BEAREU OF INVESTIGATION WILL NOT TELL YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT THE CRIME THATS LEAKED INTO KANSAS. Some mission police tried to help and for those we’re grateful. We caught a thief at 3:30am because we couldn’t sleep while I watched our cars at night 24/7. I told police months before that people were casing and stalking cars. My husband came home 6:15pm and 6:30pm they were driving out of the comple

I have lived here since July of 2022 and I couldn't be happier! The front office does a wonderful job, Austin in the maintenance team is always quick to get things fixed and he is fantastic at carrying out his responsibilities quickly and thoroughly. I'm in school until 2028 and I don't plan to live anywhere else, I couldn't recommend Hillsborough enough!

Was told they do not rent to any felon at all, no matter how long it has been or what the charge was. This is a HUD violation. Disappointing, we wanted to make a home here to stay in my son's school district. DUI from a decade ago shouldn't impact a veteran's ability to rent a decent place. 👍🏻

I am so happy that I found Hillsborough! We moved from out of state and had no idea where to go, Joy is an actual angel and works with you for everything! If you have small kids, theres no real fun amenities for them, but theres a couple walking paths and they loved those. The pool is newly redone and has a great little fire table. The price is great and you get a spacious apt. with a deck and backing up to trees! Any problems and the team would be there so quick to fix it. We had one of our kids lock themselves in the bathroom and a maintenance guy basically ran to us🤣 some cons, only one trash compactor so you have to drive (not a huge dilemma they keep up on it really well), no play area, outdated but well kept, not a lot of parking for the pool, if you have allergies the trees get pret

We lived there 2021-2024 and had a great experience. Neighbors were friendly and it felt safe. Theresa in the leasing office is wonderful. Maintenance responded incredibly fast and usually fixed things well. The rooms and closets were huge. It felt nice and clean. The pool is huge and usually has very few people in it. We left because the rent got too high for us for renting and our family outgrew a 2 bedroom. I definitely recommend Hillsborough. To add to other reviews, there is major construction on the road inside the complex but it started less than a year ago and clear progress has been made. They are redoing the water lines so it's a pretty necessary and huge project. The dusty pavement did temporarily ruin what used to be a really nice walking loop.
