Bad washing machines. Crowded too. You will hardly find space to wash clothes. Moreover, washing spaces don’t open and close on designated times. It is just a joke for them. The machines in washing areas that dispense cards don’t work. Wash quality is worst I have ever experienced. I have now been going to a private laundromat near Trader Joe’s instead of the ineffective ones provided by Hillcrest Park management. Security is questionable. No help to tow away the illegal parked vehicles in your designated spaces. You are on your own. The security guards let you stand in rain only to let you know later that nobody is available to help. A lot of homeless people around. Very high water charges. The staff provided wrong information on phone. They will ask you to put the service request, but

This place is a DUMP. If you look in this area to rent, look elsewhere. I have been a resident for a little over 4 years and Essex management is the worst. They don’t care about residents at all. Their only concern is collecting payments (rents and utility fees) but there is no service in return. Every single time I contact them for various very serious issues; all they say is that they are sorry and then they do nothing about any issues. They also don't answer questions. I have lots of horror stories and I will share a few. The security and safety of this complex is very questionable. Every morning, I see homeless or homeless looking people digging in the trash bins, looking for recyclables. This is for Jonathan Fillingham. An absolute English gentleman with such class. He goes above and beyond in so many way to make sure I was not worried and on a personal level to be so kind. Not only was he one of the nicest guys I have ever talked to but very swift and professional. This company really struck gold with him. He makes sure to meet you on the level and give you all the info you need with in a flash. He is to the dot on everything and I believe many places would be much better if they hired more people like that. Thank you my friend, you took so much stress off my wife and I with all my questions.

Safe yourself and don’t rent an apartment here, I would literally give 0 stars if I could. I rented 12 months in Hillcrest and really had the worst experience ever. Packages got stolen, other people are parking in your car spot, super loud at night, your guests can park nowhere, laundry rooms are a mess and super disgusting and nobody cares. During that 12 months of renting I sent regularly mails to that complex and never received any answers or solution. The neighbor below me had a dog who consistently barked at every time ( 1am,2am and so on… ) and also there - the complex did not answer on my mails. After moving out they’re charging you amounts, who were never in the contract. Never got someone back to us about this! Pls, trust this review and spend couple more hundred bucks on another

Parking is really issue. I have parked in designated parking to apartment, just with guest permit. Because we had guest but parked in our designated parking and they still towed the car. They should have atleast verified.
