Hill Country Apartments

I’m giving it 5 stars now solely because of the property managers Amy and Beau. I’ve lived here for almost 10 years. That’s right, a long time to be at an apartment complex. I don’t like to move. When I’m happy with something good and simple I tend to settle down for a little while. The maintenance team was great. Throughout the years and the different guys, the work was always done on time and in an efficient manner mostly within the day or next day if there was ever a problem. They were never a problem. Always helpful. I was always at work when they would fix things in my apartment and I learned to trust them in there over time. Never had any issues with them. Solid guys. I know that there are some bad reviews for this complex. And I know exactly why there are bad reviews. trust me. I

I'd give no stars if I could. Moved out of this awful place a year ago. They got our move out date wrong and threw away all of our things before our lease was up while we were at work and after months of fighting with the company that owns the property we finally got a low ball settlement for all the irreplaceable things we lost. Family photos, baby albums, yearbooks, family heirlooms, all gone forever with no sympathy from the owners of the property (Arbor Realty). The manager of the property did his best but this was easily one of the worst experiences of my life. Do yourself a favor and dodge the bullet, live anywhere else not owned by Arbor Realty. Lived in this apartment complex for the last few years. Management is very helpful and receptive to any needs we had with the apartment complex. Maintenance is also helpful and would come out in a timely manner whenever an issue arose. Neighbors also keep to themselves and we never dealt with any loud noises in the complex. Overall, it was a great place to live in my opinion. The price for living in a two bedroom was not bad at all. Also, it was very close to the river which was a plus. Only moved because we were buying a home, but would’ve still been living here if that were not the case.

If I could give a 0 or a negative star, I would have given it to this apartment. Management is the worst, not available and always some excuses. They don't give you a proper answer or give a timeline if any maintenance issue occurs. We have had a toilet flush issue since the first day of us moving in their apartment, and every single day, we have been reaching manager for the past more than one week and shared the problem but it is not fixed yet. We have been using university restrooms.I have never seen an irresponsible and unmanaged apartment like this ever in my life. Not recommended

We just moved out and are sad to leave but had to due to being relocated for work. Both management dealt with over the 3 years were friendly and quick to assist with any issues that arose. I actually had the pleasure of having the same current management with my previous apartment in San Marcos. Jenn was always very helpful with me. I was moving from out of state and she was great with keeping me in the know and making my transition smooth. With my current stay we had several questions with my new moving process as I was applying for a house out of city and had a false eviction on my record from the previous state I was living. The management helped me get my new place in the best way they could, staying in contact with me and the new place to provide any information that could help.
