Highland Village Apartments

This complex is a complete nightmare and I would never recommend anyone live here. They go through managers so fast that you never know who you’re dealing with from one week to the next. Nobody communicates, nobody cares, and tenants are left in the dark until it’s too late. When I lost my job, I applied for rental assistance and was relieved when I was approved — I thought I’d finally have a little breathing room. Instead, on the very same day I was accepted for help, the complex turned around and hit me with an eviction notice. They never bothered to tell me, either. I only found out after calling and emailing nonstop for a week, desperate for answers. Do not move here. This apartment complex, I believe, is doing illegal eviction. They can't keep a property manager. These people always mix the tenants' paperwork or loose paperwork. Just to charge people rent with evictions on top of it. They have no mercy for the elderly or families with children, I repeat, don't move here. Unless your income is 100,000$ or more. They are throwing low income people out just to move in the rich. It's horrible how they are treating low income people. NV is a whole problem.

Lived here for 3 years, and was falsely accused of having someone (ex husband) living with me for more than the recommended amount stayed. I left and informed them of the move before hand and they still charged me rent. Mind you, I never paid any rent for 2 years prior; low income. It’s running my credit. The laundry room is only open during 9-5 hours Mon-Fri; during the times people are usually working and I have to adjustment my work schedule just for that. Terrible customer service and very unprofessional group of individuals that work here. I would never live here again. They are also roach infested. They evicted me for something that someone else did before I even knew these people. I didn't know that the couple even had a criminal record but because they did something stupid I was punished for their actions. Very unfair at the eviction hearing on Ina Browns behalf. They presented false documents and had the judge completely fooled. The management sucks there yes In a Brown is a liar and so is her side kick Glenna.

These apartments are very controlling and try to inforce rules and regulations that violate a person constitutional rights to freedom to have visitors, freedom to voice ones side or speak the truth. They delegate who you can or can not associate with and inforce that you quit smoking to live there. We are talking low-income aptartments that the only way your going to be able to live there is if you are under a certain income criteria. It's like your living under a communist housing authority. After 15yrs of living there and several apartments moves my family member whom comes everyday to see me was 86 from the property on the grounds that they don't live there. Of course they don't they were visiting and helping out and old old woman. That's thier job. To make sure I haven't killed over.
