Highland Homes Cane Island

Horrible builder. They promised a lot of things and now they don't help fix the issues with the community. Incomplete landscaping. Once they get paid they won't do anything for you.

First time homebuyer 2019 - we were so excited to purchase a Highland Home after falling in love with floor plan and the Cane Island Community. Unfortunately, we find ourselves (and other Highland neighbors) wishing we had gone with a different builder. Our friends brag about how great the warranty/customer service/trim and finish are on their non-Highland homes while we share our horror stories of rough finish, bad product, warranty nightmares, and rude customer service from both sales and warranty personnel. We've already gone through a round of "warranty repairs" but continue to notice issues with overall quality of the home - sometimes only brought to light when neighbors tell us "that is not normal!" Sadly for us first-time buyers, there were things we didn't know to look for/chec

Tried making an appointment through chat being that that’s the only option right now. We we are planning at touring the different model homes of various builders and subdivisions so we could decide what builder we would like to go with and what subdivision would best fit our needs. Person we chatted with, Dee Dee, simply told us that the model homes are really busy and they are only booking appointments for serious buyers when I told her that we are wanting to look at all the different subdivisions and homes before deciding which subdivision we’d prefer. Won’t be wasting our time any further.

Nice options and neighborhood is very tucked off, if that's something you're looking for. Price-point was good but we're in the market for something with more elevation than the models I viewed.
