Helix at the District Apartments

The black woman "Kelie" in the office is a rude as can be. They took my money and lied to me about my application status. I've been working with them for over a month. All of a sudden I call back and everything they told me is not what's what. This is the most angering thing ever because I have a feeling she won't be held accountable. I believe the reviews about her wanting to fight the tenants. She smiled in my face during the tour but it was only a matter of time before her true character showed. As a fellow black woman myself, It always hurts the most when your own kind treats you this way. I worked overtime to get approved. Terry said I had 30 days, Kelie said something rudely different, shut me down and HUNG UP ON ME.

I've lived at the Helix apartments for 4 months and I find the accommodations and conditions of the units to be very good. The units are in very good condition with the only problem I have being the old sliding glass door leading to my balcony which is a little bit difficult to open and close.There are also some cockroaches at times but they are minimal and a pest control company sprays at least once a month. The pool also needs an upgrade on equipment since they were only able to get it opened in August because it wasn't working properly. I like the fact that my apartment is close to Aldi's grocery store and not far from the Mississippi River, Beale Street and and other Musical venues. 10/10 DNT RECOMMEND!. maintenance turn in tickets they NEVER fulfilled while they blow smoke with their vapes on the courtyard. Mushrooms grew from my sink in the bathroom..whole floor containminated from fungus..I had to use a plunger 🪠 to unclog my kitchen sink for 8months, the ceiling caved in the bedroom. No one has even come to look at it...I digress😒🙃. The apartment manager tried to approach me to fight...the list continues. Did I mention NO AIR😭🥵..🤸🏾‍♂️🕳💦 and ROACHES jumping off the cabinets 🪳

I moved in May from Serenity Towers and I love it my apartment is a nice size enough space for my power chairs and all of the amenities work and if not maintenance is quick to fix it

I lived two years in this apartment complex due to travel but it was the worst experience. A/C took about a year to fix properly. Vehicles broken into every other day. Washers and Dryers breaking most of the time. Horrible cockroach issues. Paper thin walls. I hope you can sleep through noise because a helicopter lands by hospital next door every other hour. Witnessed two drive by while there at the gas station across the street. If you’re taller then 5’7” good luck taking a shower. Over all stay for two years was 1/5. Office and maintenance 4/5.
