Heights at LaSalle Apartments

We generally enjoyed living here. After I moved out, my roommate actually decided to continue staying in the community! It felt safe here with good key fob entry and the parking lot gates. The apartment was spacious, and appliances rarely breaks. One time our AC system had issues and our electricity bill came back extremely high, but the management was really nice and refunded the extra charge. They did take more than 2 weeks to come fix the AC, but it was during peak summer weeks so generally understandable. Two things I would slightly complain are the dumpster and the roaches. There’s only ONE dumpster for the entire community, and on weekdays it’s fine, but trash would really overflow during weekends. Overall, living at Heights at LaSalle has been a good experience for us. The community stays pretty quiet and it’s in a convenient area with everything close by. Most of the residents keep to themselves, which makes it peaceful for the most part. The apartments themselves are nice and comfortable once you get settled in. Like anywhere, there can be some delays with maintenance at times, but the team does their best to get things handled. It’s a good place to live if you’re looking for something calm and affordable in the Durham area.

Had lived at heights for years before. Left here because the overall service quality incl. maintenance/office did not meet the high rent. The relatively new old lady in the office was quite rude at times, and the rent is higher than nearby apartments like Belmont. TBH not sure if the apartment overall quality matches the high rent. Mainly occupied by short-term students who just stay one year and leave, so they can easily jack up the price.

Overall I think heights is a nice apartment, infrastructure is nice and location is near the school. However, I do hope the leasing can put more management in noise control. There are few tenants being disrespectful in creating loud parties and shouting in the hallway even at 4am regardless of repetitive reminder. There truly needs to be more enforcement of quiet hours rules for me and my roommate to consider extending our lease in the future.

I had such a great experience touring Heights at LaSalle! They have very lovely apartment homes, great amenities, and even feed you breakfast during the week! My leasing agent, Shelley, was very knowledgeable and welcoming. I highly recommend setting up a tour ASAP!
