Hammocks at Camelot

I strongly encourage anyone considering The Hammocks on 34th to do thorough research, read reviews carefully, and look at tenant photos before signing a lease. During the tour, you’re shown a pristine model apartment, but many important issues are not disclosed. Flooring Issues: The “renovated” floors leak adhesive, leaving a sticky residue that constantly seeps up and makes the floors dirty and difficult to maintain. This has happened in multiple apartments, including mine (photos available). Management’s solution was simply to “wipe it up,” meaning tenants are left to clean up a construction-related issue that shouldn’t be happening in the first place. Amazing experience! Beautiful rooms, great rates/deals, and fabulous management. Seriously, check this place out. Ryan was so knowledgeable and helpful! He was thorough in discussing possible options, and made the whole process so easy. I don’t know what he gets paid but he definitely deserves a raise. I’ll be recommending this place to my friends so I’d recommend you check it out before it fills up

Had an appointment to tour a unit in this complex. Showed up to an empty office and no efforts to reach out after waiting for help.

NEW MANAGEMENT has been a game changer. This place has so much potential: - location is very central! - neighbors are friendly - there’s a neat dog park - new appliances in apartments - pool and gym And ever since the new management, communication has improved, there have been more community engagement initiatives (like fun bingo nights, giveaways, Taco Tuesdays etc.), and maintenance has been quicker to respond! I was sad I had to move away just as I saw great improvements introduced. I am grateful for having lived in this community and highly recommend you give this place a try in charming Gainesville!

Please run away if you can! I had the bedroom flooded with sewage water 3 times! There are serious cockroach issues. The landlord (Brenda) is rude and does not care about you at all. I cleaned the apartment before running away, and they charge me $235 out of $300 deposit for fake cleaning. There is absolutely no maintenance or any human right there. The laundry room is full of cockroaches and often you'd find them in your laundry. They treat you horribly. I am so sorry but this place was torture to me. The same people who manage Camelot hunt for this place.
