My daughter received lead poisoning from their home. I was promised 2 months free so we could leave but had paid most the rent for the month we was in and was told he would get it back to me and give me a good reference. He would not give me the money back, I had to get a lawyer. He would rather leave my child to keep ingesting lead than keep his word. Once he got the letter from the lawyer he paid me 1350 back and now slanders my name. He says my dogs tore up his property! All lies, the property was ran down, not up to code, has mold, wouldn't fix anything, a leak in the roof, tub leaked for 8 months and wouldn't purposely fix it. House bows into the center joint, and on top of all that I never got the key from him, I got it from the last tenant and they never even looked at it to see it

When I get moved, then I will share my experience here. I can say this, we change our filter ourselves, because this place replace it once a year, and use cheap filters. It don't filter nothing bad in the air . Changing it like this is bad for health for pets and humans. Especially dust and pollen allergies humans and pets have. A/c filters need to be changed monthly living with pets and not vacuuming daily. Been more a/c leaks in these apartments at Cedar Wood Apartments because not changing the filters monthly. My cat got hyperthyroidism from the thin walls and ceiling. This place let's woofer speakers lovers in. They only got rid of the people around us, because we kept complaining about it. It took a year, or more. It caused anxiety in cats. Subwoofers in apartments created headaches

Best apartments in town to rent! Clean, well maintained, any issues addressed promptly, affordable. Husband's been here 23 years and I 12 years. I'm not surprised by the ONE 1 star review. It is by a tenant who..... Let's just say this Tenant made all the other tenants have the police on speed dial. She moved in Sept 1st and out Oct 11th. Need I say more? It's been peaceful ever since! I mean REALLY peaceful! As it almost always is. If it wasn't my husband wouldn't be here for 23 years!

DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! If you can even call it a company. They basically just wanted our application fee and had no intention of showing us an apartment. I should have known something was up when the property manager of Sugarwood and Oak Terrace (Chris) said they didn't do any business electronically or take cash, then proceeded to take our cash. We were contacted once when we were told we were approved and the never receive a call back despite calling and texting with questions. It took my husband calling the office and talking to the other property manager to finally reach someone. We were told that he would make it right and then he quit talking our phone calls. I've lived here 7 years! Not the best looking in Springfield, but well worth the money! The staff really works hard to make sure that you're happy! Located in the middle of everything! Lots of bus routes nearby!
