I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with an interaction involving the Community Director, Lakia, at Grande Court Apartments. While I want to note that every other staff member we encountered was courteous, welcoming, and professional, the conduct of the Community Director was profoundly disappointing and distressing. My friend applied for housing and disclosed that she was a student, despite the fact that she had not attended classes since November. As part of the application process, the apartment complex requested verification from her school. Unfortunately, the school made an error and incorrectly reported her as a full-time student. We had a very good experience with Mrs. Darling. She took us to visit the model apartment. She was very proactive and friendly, and her team was very attentive. The prices and location were also excellent. I recommend renting with them.

Lied to a rental property I was trying to rent too saying that I was smoking inside the unit, 1, I don’t smoke I’m pregnant, 2. The smoking was outside the unit from visitors I had come into town, & once something was said to them about it, it never happened again. I understand I’m responsible for my guest but I feel as tho that should have been communicated to the rental property I was trying to get. There was no fine or anything of that sort nor any damage due from them smoking since it was outside so I don’t even understand why it was mentioned, besides the lack of communication, accountability, thin walls, mold and trash piling up at the dumpster it’s an okay apt.
