Customer Reviews
I have never lived in a place that provides as little transparency as possible like Goldtex. I have been disappointed in management and each time I go into the office to file complaints, the only thing they have done is write it on a post-it note saying they will tell someone else. In December, I was without a working thermostat for 7 days. I have personally been stuck in the elevator and when the firefighters got me out, they said they come to this building all the time. We have been without our rooftop pool and hot tub for almost 4 months, which was really the selling point of me living in this building. I have received emails only pertaining to one elevator being out of service, but no transparency about the thermostat or the rooftop. I have been told for a month now that we should exp
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The building looks nice at first, but the reality is awful. The pool and hot tub are always broken — sometimes for months at a time — yet management still advertises them as amenities. They also fraudulently overcharge for utilities, with random “usage” spikes that make no sense. On top of that, the place is infested with cockroaches (the 5th floor is especially bad). Maintenance just sprays over and over instead of fixing the source. The air conditioning constantly breaks during the summer, and residents are still expected to pay full rent and utilities while sweating in 90-degree apartments. For what they charge, it’s completely not worth it. Goldtex is all hype and zero care for tenants.
I’ve lived here for 3 months and unfortunately my experience has gone downhill fast. For the rent we’re paying — over $3,000 a month — the building should feel safe, clean, and well-managed. Instead, the rooftop and pool have turned into a public party spot for people who don’t even live here. Almost every weekend there are large groups of non-residents drinking, destroying things, and even making the pool and hot tub unusable. Residents are told we can only have 2–3 guests, yet random strangers are let in without question. It feels unsafe and unfair. On top of that, the utilities are outrageous. My electric and water bills alone are over $700 a month for a 2-bedroom apartment, which is far beyond normal. It makes me wonder if we’re being overcharged or billed incorrectly. What’s most di
***** READ BEFORE THINKING OF RENTING HERE***** Goldtex is outstanding building, but just like most apartment complexes, it’s far from perfect. It’s like buying a brand new car with a ton of recalls on it, it’s breaking down every other week, same thing with this building, every other week something will break on you. Overall it’s a very modern place to live, but the amount of problems you’ll run into cannot match it. From the day I moved in, there was nothing but problems with the apartment, many things were broken and never fixed. Submitted a check sheet with management regarding the issues, lost the sheet and never had anyone check on the problems. From the day I moved in, the towel rack in the bathroom was on it’s last leg until it broke recently, the shower door leaked ungodly acros
Awful, don’t move here. The new management company Greystar is terrible and advertise amenities even though they’ve been closed for months. They take forever for maintenance and still charge full price even though they’ve shut down most amenities. The building looks nice from the outside but there’s always a problem and the management company makes the problem even worse.
