GHO Homes built our new construction home. It went from being a dream to a nightmare. I had to take off work for over 60+ repairs to be done during business hours. The first day we purchased our home it was filthy, there were several holes in the walls including behind the stove, and the electrical didn't work on the stove or the dishwasher, the dishwasher was missing the handle and the refrigerator had a dent. The master shower tile was done wrong as well as the plumbing. They left a list of unfinished repairs at our home. Most of the tile is uneven and within the first year over 20 tiles cracked. GHO Homes sub contracts all their work and the subs don't care about quality. The kitchen island was not what we were sold in the design center, it was installed wrong, and started pealin
We had a very good experience with GHO in the home buying, building and warranty claims process. Our home in Lakepark Tradition was built with quality materials and craftsmanship. However, it really comes down to the local community you are buiding in, particularly who your construction manager is. We happen to have a great construction manager who was meticulous to make sure everything was done right. If you have a good manager, he will make sure that everything is done to spec at a high level of quality and that second rate or inexperienced craftsmen will not do any of the work. But it is possible that some construction managers could use subcontractors that are less experienced. Also, our GHO customer service was quick to respond and resolve any defects (which all new homes will have som
BUYER BEWARE I have purchased a new with GHO homes in Lake Park Tradition about 8 months ago and my wife and I have a lot of small interior problems but the biggest problem we have is the Drainage on the side of the home. There has already multiple complaints about this issue in the neighborhood and they refuse to help with the situation and balms us for the issue. Two different companies have come in and worked on it and I have a couple of thousand dollars myself but there is still a problem. I feel that once they get your money they put in the back of line on help with any of the issues that have to be fix.
They screwed up the build of the block wall in front such that ceiling height for the double door foyer was not high enough for the standard arch window plus coved ceiling. So GHO had to get a custom one made. It held us up from taking possession. It was a half moon shape looking window vs.the arched window that was to match the front arch of the porch. Danny was a terrible supervisor in charge of our house.Terrible excavation of property which caused water to flood and errode soil at foundation on one side of house. It took dozens of calls and follow ups to get them to look at, then tried to fix it 3 more times...Leak in garage ceiling from the valley that separated garage roofline from roofline of porch Took 2 tries to repair it. Mandatory pool co who did not design footprint as pla
We live next to a lot that is owned by GHO. There is a tree on the back corned of their lot. The growth is to the point that we can no longer trim at the property line. Plus, the overgrown property is damaging my fence. The roots of the tree are lifting the fence. The first call fell on deaf ears. I waited a month and called again. They sent someone out, and he agreed something had to be done about the tree. He also asked me to call code enforcement on his own company. Going on 2 weeks, and nothing has been done. GHO is a horrible neighbor.
