GFB Management (now rebranded as Fairstead Management) operates as though it’s their job to resolve issues in their buildings as slowly as possible. Every time an issue arose, whether an appliance broke, a mistake was made on important paperwork, or rent was overcharged (repeatedly), it would almost always take dozens of follow-ups, only to be given no update, promised no timeline of action, and often with no resolution at all. Just getting a response from my own property management was arduous, and trying to call the main customer service line resulted in one exceptionally rude and unhelpful receptionist, who would at times coordinate with the person I was trying to reach to lie about their availability to take my call. This management company is truly AWFUL! I have lived in NYC for 7 years and in all that time I've never come across a management company with such blatant disregard for its tenants or its buildings in general. I have had the displeasure of living under their management for two years. They do not care for their tenants or their problems at all. When you try to ask for anything you are met with a front desk receptionist who is so incredibly rude and acts like they are bothered by the very thought of a tenant asking for information or help. Kristin is the front desk person now and during our conversations she rolls her eyes, lies about conversations we had in the past, and condescends me the entire time all because I was asking when the front door intercom that had been broken for a week woul

I have been treated terribly by this company. I paid rent without an issue for a year. Then my building changed to GFB management. They never processed they new lease we signed. They also didn’t process my checks correctly and even though they were cashing them they accused me of not paying rent and posted notices on my door. Then they gave me a court date. They accused me of Airbnb-ing my apartment. They sent me a link to a Airbnb listing that showed pictures of a apartment that was clearly not mine. It was also for a one bedroom when my apartment is a 3 bedroom. Be wary in your dealings with them.

They had me in the so call community room while renovating my apartment and i was so disappointed. First of all the bathroom was terrible. No soap to wash your hands and no paper towels to dry your hands. Also no air conditioning and flies and other bugs were flying all over the place. We are in a pandemic and there was no hand sanitizer anywhere. Never came to check on us. Never offered a cup of coffee or a donut or bagel. They had a lady that was blind and 90 years old sitting in a wheelchair for hours. It is so sad and i willl never forget this. Also the watermellon vendor was coming down here to use the barhroom. He had no mask on or no gloves and used the ladies room where he blew up the toliet wirh diarrhea. Shame on you GFB

Gfb management what to say 6 years of overcharged rent (100$ a month of raise per year), boiler that needs to be changed completely and no one does anything, hot water missing and no one does anything, bathroom sink cabinet that needs to be changed and it has been more than a month that I asked for it, a management that barely answers the calls, heaters off most of the time ( if the boiler is not working even heaters are off). Bad bad bad management.
