Freedom Mortgage

Don’t use them if you have other options. While customer service is nice enough if you have a need for anything there are ridiculous waiting periods. I paid my mortgage the day after the statement came out (still within the window of no late fees) and then asked them for an updated statement as I was applying for a loan and needed proof that I was current. They said they couldn’t do anything for us other than file a mortgage verification that would take 5-10 business days. I’m trying to buy a home in a competitive market I don’t have that kind of time. Any other company would just draft something up to show you’re current

Absolutely horrible to do business with. Can't get a hold of them. They don't return phone calls. They don't send you the paperwork that's required and they just take your house from underneath you in the middle of the winter they're all about the money. They really don't care about you..

Went to the office, didn't seem to actually be one. Tried calling. Couldn't get through. I want to pay off my mortgage but can't get in contact with them. Maybe I should not pay it and they will surely call.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Double payment happened and no refund happened. I started the process with them on 12/06/24 and here i am 12/18/24 still no refund. After multiple phones calls with being told different information every single time for a refund process, I was over it. Absolutely no notes were done on freedom mortgages end. Every time I called and I mean every single time I called, I was told there was no notes or refund ticket in place and asked if I wanted to start the process!! I finally told them to just keep the money because why would I go through a refund process that takes 5-7 or more days just to have to pay you back for my next monthly payment!!!! If you have a choice, do NOT go with Freedom mortgage.

Honestly do not know why the reviews posted are bad. My family had them for 3 years, having been with another company b4 them. And they were great! Patient thru Covid months and I actually got someone on the phone. My prior mortgage was with another that was so impersonal and never answered my calls. We paid our home off last year and I hope they stay that way in the future.
