if i could give you zero stars i would. cancelled last minute on a showing because heritage house called them and told them we were breaking our lease over mold covering our entire apartment coming back from summer. oh and that showing was the only lead i had for a place to live in the first week of classes thursday after i had to pay out of pocket for a hotel the entire week. they didnt want to step on the toes of heritage they said. who didnt fulfill their end of the lease and give us a place to stay. they let us break our lease and gave us our security deposit back because they were terrified we would sue. thanks for nothing 4 horizon i hope your having a terrible day.

Rebecca Porter is the most disrespectful and unprofessional person I have ever encountered. She went off on me after trying to discuss how they didn't explicitly tell their tenant in China after her apartment caught fire without her knowledge. They sent her one email stating they needed to get in contact with her. She heard the news from me 4 days after the fire took place. We were simply helping our friends, her tenants, move out at the time given for them to secure their items from the burn place. None had been yelling or threatening at any time as we were out of breath moving furniture and boxes. All witnesses can stand by that. I was looking for an apartment last minute and the staff at four horizons were very quick to get me set up with one and even put in effort to have it ready early. I had a few minor issues in the beginning but they sent technicians to fix it within HOURS not even days. The apartment also came very clean and as expected. I didn't even have to clean it when I moved in. Highly recommend them.

Was a renter for 5+ years never late on rent. Hit a rough spot and called to work something out. They wouldn't call back like they claimed and sent collection notice. Then claimed we didn't clean anything and took most of deposit. I cleaned it better than when we moved in. Highly recommend avoiding this place.

Avoid if you can. Recently got out of a lease with them, so now the review comes out. They are unprofessional, I would make sure to get EVERYTHING in writing, and they were just, in general, a pain to deal with for the two years I rented from them. If there's a fire caused by one of their appliances, say a bathroom exhaust fan seizing, the will take their sweet time replacing the appliance and patching up any damage so that it is completely usable again. Oh, and just a heads up for incoming students, they have you sign a lease renewal almost a year in advance, so, be incredibly cautious. Edit: well now, there's no reason to lie.
