Fountain Garden Apartments

I lived at this apartment complex for over two years and I absolutely loved it! I lived in two different apartments at this complex and Melanie Torres was the Fountain Garden Apartment Property Manager when I was living there. She was always happy to help with any questions or concerns we had. Any time that I went to her about a problem that I was having in regards to an issue in my apartments she would send a maintenance staff member to my apartment the same day and would personally call to verify if the problem had been fixed to my liking. The move in process was very smooth while moving in to both apartments and the process for paperwork was always seamless while dealing with Ms. Melanie. One month in and not a fan of this place. Was not able to view apartment due to it being "worked" on but we are new to the area and needed a place asap. I drove by the location and it seemed okay. If I only knew! Day 3 in my car is towed out of the parking lot because my tag was not visible, but my tag was in the car I moved it because of the beating sun, be mindful with parking in the lot they are tow happy here, I rather park on the street but 2nd day here my gf's car was side swiped. So lose, lose situation. Second issue is the non stop stomping from above. I have nicely asked the manager to talk to the people upstairs and sent videos but I was told that the stomping was considered "normal" living noise. I’ve lived at Fountain Garden for two years. Worst mistake ever. My A/C has NEVER worked and they even installed a Central Air unit which 1) makes my power bill go way up, 2) it doesn’t help the rooms getting colder at all and 3) they gave us one with a dirty filter so it. My room is 105 degrees right now during this summer. Our garbage disposal has gone out 5+ times since I’ve been here, our kitchen sink faucet is broken so it sprays water all over me while I’m using the sink. Our pantry doesn’t even have a light so you can’t see anything. I’ve tried to put in multiple work orders and at this point it seems like they just throw them in the trash. There are gunshots right down bonnymede probably 3 times a week and I constantly find myself scared for my life simply living in my apartment. E

This has been the absolute worst living experience of my entire life. This place just disrespects and extorts people. It tows tenants cars with no warning, or communication. They have recently made an official partnership with the most hated tow company in the city. They look for any little reason to steal someone's vehicle. They towed mine for supposedly parking in a unauthorized spot. But it's a spot I've been parking in with no issue or complaints for 6 months. On top of that, try theres constant construction here starting early in the morning. Right outside the building. Completely disregarding anyone who works nights, and their need for sleep. I literally had my daughter in my apartment at 28 weeks old and the whole time I was trying to know if my daughter would life or die and all they cared about was rent. Yes obviously I know it was important and everything, but I didn't even get a congratulations or are you and the baby ok. I got slapped with eviction notice and had to work doubles just days after having a traumatic experience and only getting an hour a day to spent with my daughter, that the Drs told me everyday wouldn't come home. So at that point I was losing my time I had with her just to give her and her brother a home. She lived thank the holy Lord above, but that was only after 99 days in the NICU, 3 surgeries and missing all that time with her just to be evicted a month after she came home.
