Forward Management LLC

My experience with Forward Management was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Leasing manager did not listen to any of the issues I raised. At one point, the ceiling collapsed and destroyed my property due to the landlord’s negligence, and they still failed to respond or take responsibility. There were rats throughout the apartment building and in the hallways, and Forward Management did nothing to resolve the issue. Despite the fact that I paid my rent—and my bank confirmed that the payment was withdrawn—they still took me to court. Parking was also a nightmare. During the winter, my car and several others were regularly stuck whenever it snowed. Overall, this was a horrible experience. If I had the time, there would definitely be a lawsuit against them.

It's a place to live, I'll give em that. No qualms actually living in my one bedroom. But otherwise I've had nothing but issues with the people running this company, specifically on the Pinetree Gardens property. First off, I should note that these are by far the most unmaintained roads in the entirety of Brentwood, and while I understand the borough can't do much about it because it's part of private property, Forward has put absolutely no effort into addressing the craters and divots littered around here. Secondly, the washers and dryers they supply us with are an absolute joke, half of the time I go in to do laundry and there's another one out of order, or my clothes come out still damp after spending 45 minutes tumbling on the highest setting. terrible company and it seems as though they are deleting reviews because i cannot find mine from when i lived here but they basically gaslit me for months about the heat. we paid $60 a month for it and lived on the third floor. when i told them the heat in my apartment wasn’t working, they sent someone up in jeans and boots and a jacket, to take a look. he spent maybe 5 minutes in the apartment then left after taking a couple photos. i later recieved an email from tina saying if our heat wasn’t working because our furniture was up against the walls…which is crazy… and apparently the maintenance guy said it was warm so we probably just “preferred it warmer” than the temperature they had it set to. so if you want to put your couch up against the wall, don’t plan on it here. but regardless i

Sadly, Google does not allow to give negative stars to a company in a review, otherwise they would get -5 stars from me. This is not a complaint but rather a public service. Forward Management is without a doubt the worst landlord in Pittsburgh. Their apartments are in such poor conditions that they should be considered a hazard. (See pictures for details) The fact that they charge so much for such units is a crime. They left me with a hole and a rusty pipe in the bathroom and with a big hole in the ceiling of one of the closets, for months. The paint is falling off the walls and the electrical and plumbing systems are from the 19th century. I have had a good experience with Forward, in contrast to many of the reviews here. We have always had maintenance issues taken care of quickly and without issue, no issues with utilities, and always a quick response from anyone we needed to contact. We did have our heat go out one evening, and within an hour of submitting a maintenance request, someone was at our door with space heaters to get us through the night until they came in the morning to fix the issue. The online system for paying rent and submitting maintenance requests works well and is convenient. Overall, I would recommend Forward Management, keeping in mind that renting with any management can come with its pros and cons.
