Worst experience I’ve ever had with a bank. I worked with Amy, a Vice President in the loan department at First Star Bank, regarding a DSCR loan based on rental income. I knew exactly how this loan works, and the rental income was more than sufficient. However, I was given constantly changing requirements. First, I was told the minimum loan was $100k. Then it changed to $125k. Then I was told I needed a 700 credit score for $100k, even though my score was 657 and previously acceptable. Every time I met the requirement, a new one appeared. Instead of being honest and straightforward, I felt misled and given excuses.
