Dave Elgin has been a really great help in the home buying process. He worked hard to make sure I receive both First Front Door and PHFA grants, which are hard to work with. He was very quick to respond and was a pleasure to work with! Very organized and reliable. Highly highly recommend! I’m very happy with how he handled things.

I’ve been through two mortgage experiences buying homes. The first I thought wasn’t great, until I worked with First Heritage Financial/Mortgage. It was the worst experience, and easily the worst part of buying my house. Had I not been so far into the process, I would have backed out at many points. They were unresponsive, gave me bad info, wouldn’t bother to solve problems on their end, just all around terrible to work with. A week before I was scheduled to close, the underwriter told me she’d missed a detail and I wouldn’t have been able to close on time. Due to having pushed back closing twice because of them, this would have likely meant I’d lost the deal. They do not answer their phones or return phone calls or emails. Three of us have been contacting them for weeks trying to get a response to no avail. Our original closing date was July 17th on our home sale. They took 2 months to get an appraiser and now that is completed and everything else is done, we are STUCK waiting for someone to answer and provide us with a new closing date, six weeks later!! I do NOT recommend using First Heritage in Trevose for anything at all! Their voicemail says they are “out to lunch” all the time. Customer service is horrible; communication is non-existent. We contacted the corporate office by email and voicemail and are still waiting for them to get back to us. Check out all the other reviews. Dealing with this company was the worst part of my home-buying process. The employees there are unresponsive and SLOW! Their lack of response is extremely unprofessional, and every interaction with them will leave you aggravated. Because of them, we even had to push our settlement date back. Even my real estate agent contacted me to complain about dealing with this company herself. It's tragic. Avoid at all costs. By the way, everyone should report the 5 star review from Leah as a conflict of interest. She is the VP of mortgage originations at First Heritage Financial.

If I could give no stars for this company I most definitely would without any hesitation whatsoever! Do not even consider this company as your lender. Patrick K. is by far one of the worst individuals at this company to deal with. I can’t believe my credit union recommends their faithful customers to this company...my credit union is the greatest but First Heritage doesn’t compare. Patrick does not make you feel like a priority, he takes his time getting back or he just doesn’t get back to you at all. He had the nerve to tell me he could only give me 2 loan scenarios when I asked to have 6 done. I was not asking to have all of them done at once, just asking to have them done as soon as he could. He did 2 and never completed the rest. On top of the poor communication when asking for info...
