Financial Freedom Mortgage

my mortgage was sold to Freedom Mortgage and I just received a bill from my homeowners insurance that Freedom Mortgage is not listed as my mortgage company. Thank you Wells Fargo for not providing my info over when you sold my mortgage. I have been on hold for 45 minutes and still holding. No one cares that my homeowners insurance is not paid and I am unable to reach anyone. I am selling my home and getting out of this company. Terrible customer service. Still holding over 55 minutes now. My battery will die before someone picks up.

After Hurricane Helena, Freedom Mortgage offered me a “relief program” that was anything but helpful: skip two months of payments, then pay all three months at once in the third month. I called three times to reject this, yet they enrolled me anyway, forcing me into a huge lump-sum payment. On top of that, my insurance claim process has been a nightmare. I’ve sent multiple checks, and their handling is completely inconsistent—three checks without signatures were processed, but the fourth was returned for missing a signature. This company does not listen, does not care, and makes everything harder during an already stressful time. Avoid Freedom Mortgage at all costs.

Really not happy with this mortgage. They have my flood insurance money hostage. I was hit by hurricane Helene. Its been over 11 days since they received my house inspection which should allow release of my funds. I told them how bad I need this money so I can finish house up but they said there is nothing they can do and its still under manager review. I have no money because I spent on fixing house and now you guys are taking your sweet time releasing what is owed to me. Now my house is in a stand still, I need to move out my apartment with my family because I cant afford to pay the rent because I spent it all in the house. YOU GUYS SUCK!

Took over my mortgage and raised my monthly mortgage over $850. Follow-up complaint. Spoke to a representative who offered to help with late fees due to my mortgage skyrocketing from $2355 to $3200. They assured me that they could help me by waiving any late fees. When I called back after paying 1/2 my escrow shortage and monthly mortgage which was basically 2 mortgages all in the same month they refused to waive the $77 late fee. Even after reading the note on my account and confirming that the customer service rep told me that they would. Horrible customer service. They, in addition, hung up on me while transferring me. with a 1.2 rating, how the heck are they still in business?!

I would give zero stars if it was an option… their loss draft department and process is the absolute worst and slowest inconsiderate process I’ve ever been apart of… my house has been 100 percent completed for months now and still haven’t recieved MY insurance claim check. They can’t even send a real inspector to my house to do the inspection. They do it “virtually” where I have to take my own photos and email them into them. To top it off they don’t even contact me to tell me that so and so photos weren’t recieved so it adds more weeks to the process not being finished. Terrible business and would switch mortgage companies if possible. Highly advise to stay away from this company
