Falkland Chase

am writing this review because I truly feel that I got scammed by Falkland Chase North Apartments. On October 19, 2024, I paid a refundable $275 application fee (Payment Confirmation Number: 615986014). After they denied my application, they told me that my refund would be issued. It has now been one full year, and I still have not received my refund. I followed up many times. They even gave me a number to call, but still no answer, no solution, and no refund. I’ve provided my receipt, confirmation, and everything they asked for yet they continue to ignore me. This is completely unprofessional and unethical, and at this point, it feels exactly like fraud. It’s heartbreaking to see a housing office treat applicants this way. They take refundable fees and then avoid taking responsibility,

Do NOT move into Falkland Chase North right now. There is overnight construction for the Purple Line that continues to be extended and we get to hear it every single night (yes, it happens all night nearly every night). Falkland Chase never warned us that this construction will be delayed so much despite the county alerting them to it. There was 0 communication in this regard and no one warned us about it prior to us moving here, so I figured I may as well be the one to write the warning. Additionally, we do not have any fire alarms in our complex, so if you're someone who cares a lot for safety I would reconsider moving to the North section (I am unsure if it is like this for other sections). My experience with the leasing staff has been great. I’ve had the pleasure of the double Jazzman duo! Polite, considerate, patient and overly helpful. Looking forward to becoming a part of this living community! Please ask for either of them. You won’t be disappointed.

Update #2: it’s been weeks now and I have not received any updates or timeline on receiving the overpayment of our final bill before we moved out. We payed our full amount instead of the prorated amount. We were assured by a former staff that we would receive payment after we moved out. Crickets. Update #1: After leaving this review we were contacted by the leasing office. They took care of returning the security deposit. However, I am still waiting to hear back about the second pending refund. I’ve emailed twice now. Original review: My boyfriend and I moved out recently and it’s been frustrating not receiving a response from the leasing office on the status of the return of our security deposit and additional refund for overpayment of our final bill. We ALWAYS paid our rent on time and
