Fairfield at Port Jefferson

Currently Fairfield is illegally in possession of $3,825 from my account. I signed a lease that ended in July of 2022 and vacated the apartment at the appropriate time. However, I was charged rent for August 2022 due to someone changing the date of my lease in the system without my knowledge or consent. I have called repeatedly and left numerous voicemails to get my $1275 refunded and none of my calls have been returned. Additionally, my lease ended a month ago and I have not received my $2550 security deposit back or been informed whether it will be returned.

DO NOT RENT FROM FAIRFIELD PROPERTIES! I was a resident here from July 2021 to July 2022. Currently this corporation is in illegal possession of my security deposit. It has been 11 weeks since we have moved out, and I have yet to receive an itemized receipt of the security deposit, or the security deposit at all. Whenever my roommate and I contact them regarding this, we get transferred several times, only to be left leaving a voicemail to someone who has yet to call us back. Fairfield properties is a scamming company and will take away your money illegally. They have been unresponsive and unhelpful. Move anywhere else before moving here. We are having to consider legal action in order to get our security deposit back.

I would give zero stars if I could. Eva the property management is a liar and a thief. We decided to go with another property instead of Fairfield. We called corporate and spoke with Melissa who stated there would be a check mailed out for our security deposit in two weeks. We waited four weeks and never received it. We called and spoke with Melissa again who now stated Eva gave us a money order for the deposit. Which is a complete lie. When my wife called her Eva , she laughed and stated she gave it to us and hung up. It’s absolutely ridiculous. We plan to file a complaint with the bbb and will also be filling a police report for petty larceny. I would stay far away from Fairfield and Eva who runs the port Jefferson location.

The Terryville Rd location leaves a lot to be desired. While it's just as expensive to live here as the surrounding Fairfield locations, we don't have any of the perks that the others do. There's no clubhouse, no pool, no workout facility or adequate parking. There's no in unit washer & dryers- only one laundry room with a huge hole in the wall; when it rains, the water comes flooding in. A washing machine broke last year and has never been replaced and another one doesn't spin properly so everything in it is constantly soaked & the machine leaks all over the floor. The living room AC was broken and ruined the wall as well as the carpet & couch. It finally got replaced after 2+ years of calls. I went there with a client. The rental consultant was very nice and respectful and knew what she was doing. Some of the tenants were questionable but the apartment complex has security and is centrally located.
