Evergreen Homecrafters LLC completed construction on our custom home in Powhatan, just outside Richmond, Virginia, in December 2022, and asked us several times for a review—clearly expecting praise. We initially waited, hoping that outstanding items would be addressed. Instead, new concerns surfaced, communication dwindled, and resolution never came. The project started with genuine promise. Early on, communication felt open, and we trusted that Evergreen would deliver as agreed. However, as construction moved forward, transparency and cooperation faded. Specific selections we made—such as the rear French doors—were substituted without our written approval. More seriously, quality issues emerged, including extensive damage to nearly every one of our expensive wooden Pella windows. Paint

Jon and his team are exceptional! The new home was completed on time. The quality of the work is excellent. The subs we worked with were also wonderful. We have built 4 homes now and this experience could not have been any better. We had a few minor problems , however, they were all handled properly and professionally to both of our satisfaction. Building a home can be stressful, however, this project was not. We were living 3 hours away so we could not be here every day, yet, we knew everything was going as planned. Jon is very responsive to phone calls and changes. His PM Mitch, is great as well. He has completed a few small projects for us that look perfect. Also, Jon partners with Tracey McLung, a local broker, who is involved from start to finish to ensure the client is happy.
