Essex House Apartments

Essex House is wonderful, located in a very nice part of the city with walking and biking access. The office staff and maintenance are great to work with and always friendly. One maintenance employee named Mario comes when needed on a ticket. He is just all around out spoken and friendly guy. Great complex!

Since moving in during Fall last year, Essex House has been a dream. Katie and the staff are always helpful and very friendly. Previous apartments my wife and I have lived in always felt cold and transactional, but Essex House immediately felt like home! Alongside the amenities, there are lists of nearby events posted in the elevators for exploring the city and occasional community events hosted by Essex! Getting together with people within the building helps a fresh move not feel so alienating. I am always surprised whenever the staff remembers small details from our conversations that help us feel heard. It really seems like they want tenants to feel cared for, and it shows in every aspect of how they operate.

The staff at Essex is absolutely amazing! The building is great, secure, and sits quietly in a great part of Portland. The office staff has gone above and beyond assisting with our move from the East Coast and glad we found a “home” there. So far, the service team moved quickly to fix any small issues in the apartment. 5 stars isn’t enough!

Here’s to the wonderful office staff at Essex House! They are always on top of a wide variety of issues in the building, and show great care for residents’ concerns. Mario is incredibly warm, professional, and extremely capable in all he does to fix anything in our apartment. His coworker, Eddie, is also very friendly and helpful in working alongside Mario. The team addresses any problems right away. They really contribute to making Essex House a great place to live. Thank you!

What really makes this place stand out is the maintenance team—especially Mario. Every apartment needs fixes here and there, and over the years, Mario has been amazing. He’s quick, reliable, always in a good mood, and gets the job done right. You can tell he actually cares about what he does, and that goes a long way. We’re lucky to live somewhere that values and hires hardworking, friendly people like Mario.
