ERA American Rentals - Shalimar Office

We moved in last August and the floor was falling in, the place was filthy and I had 2 and 1/2 pages of things that had to be taken care of. It took them 3 months to even come look at the floor and the the contractor took over a week. There were roaches and I personally paid for an exterminator months. When we received part of the security deposit they took off for bug extermination, claimed lightbulbs were blown and that it needed to be cleaned. I left it 100 percent better than it was when we got there. I have rented my entire life and this is the 1st time I did not get my entire deposit back. Live and learn....NEVER working with that company ever.

I cannot advise to steer clear of the company more. I used them for the last three years in managing my property as a rental! We had upwards of 6 tenants in the house in that timeframe. They were allowed to break lease, pay partial rent payments that allowed them to stay in the house, and the communication was horrendous. I had to file a formal complaint before I started getting subpar communication from the branch manager. They do not do a good job in filtering out the most qualified renters either. Our last renter left and still owes us over 5k in rent. Not so much as an apology are blink of an eye from these guys. Gloria and Ashley were who we mainly dealt with. Can’t warn you enough on how bad this company is!

Horrible, horrible, horrible!! They overcharge you by forcing you to purchase a complete bullshit tenant package for $50/month. The package gives you a useless tenant portal & mails you a $5 AC filter. Recently the entire bottom cabinet located under my sink collapsed. Not only did it take 2 months to be fixed, but now I can Not use the drawer. They replaced 1 bottom section cabinet so nothing matches. Because they are very cheap the guy they sent had to come back 4x. Era had him replace a sectionof the cabinet that now causes the drawer to hit the stove handle so it only slightly opens. This is a corner area and the underneath use to have a shelf so that you can utilize the space for pots & pans. I’ve been using ERA to manage my property since fall of 2021. Generally few problems. However, as the house has started to need maintenance, I’ve been incredibly disappointed with their ability to maintain the home. On 1 January, my tenants submitted a work request due to a plumbing issue with the hot water heater and stated that the kitchen and laundry room were flooded. The maintenance request said they had called the emergency maintenance line and no one answered, resulting in extensive water damage. When I didn’t hear anything from Property Management, I tried to get a hold of maintenance and called and left voicemails on 02 Jan, 03 Jan and 04 Jan. On 5 Jan I finally got a hold of someone. I moved in 22 days ago, and have yet to receive a working refrigerator ! The one that came with the house was "unrepairable", and there has been zero effort made for something that is crucial to me and my 3 kids. So genuinely disappointed.
